Preparing your property for purchase

Consideration must be taken to know that prospective buyers may not be willing to pay more for additional work done.
Ensure that general maintenance is completed so not to allow purchasers to over-look the property, nor ask for a discounted price due to current conditions.
Enhancements to be done;
- General repairs to broken fittings, and completed building work
- Fresh paint of a neutral colour
- Security measures in place such as burglar guards or security systems
- Removal of personal items and clutter when potential purchasers view the property
Enhancements which are not feasible;
- Excessive revamping of rooms and finishes. While it is good practice to have a presentable house, colours and tastes should be neutral to appeal to potential purchasers.
- Extravagant finishes and elaborate appearances will not add value to the property
It is vital to understand that not all upgrades are beneficial in preparing to sell a property.
Consult a reputable agent to assist, and advise you in selling your property!
